So apparently I have the literary taste of a 16 year old. Whatever. I don’t care. Ivy Wei gets the credit for recommending it to me, and whoever brought it to the white elephant at the Christmas party this past month, thank you.
Hunger Games.
Couldn’t put it down. On to the next in the series.
Apparently it’s going to be made into a film in March with Jennifer Lawrence. Watching itttt.
To live every day as if it had been stolen from death, that is how I would like to live. To feel the joy of life, as Eve felt the joy of life. To separate oneself from the burden, the angst, the anguish that we all encounter every day. To say I am alive, I am wonderful, I am. I am. That is something to aspire to.
“There is no dishonor in losing the race,” Don said. “There is only dishonor in not racing because you are afraid to lose.”
“The Art of Racing in the Rain” by Garth Stein
I hardly ever read, but I’m glad I picked this up after getting a recommendation from a former co-worker. I read half the book and stopped for a while. I picked it up again 3 days ago and couldn’t put it down. The fact that I chose to read on the BART instead of taking my daily nap is saying something. Anyway, it looks like it’ll become a film with Patrick Dempsey (ehh) playing the lead (human) actor. We’ll see how that goes. Anyway, on to the next!
